Irvine Patnick had forwarded his recollection to Chief Constable, Geoffrey Dear, West Midlands Police; Irvine Patnick did not attend the match at Hillsborough, however he responded to the BBC TV coverage by attending at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital, Hammerton Road Police Station, the Niagra police training ground and accompanying Colin Moynihan, Minister for Sport, when he arrived in Sheffield. He also gave several local media interviews on the night. His recollection includes reports he was given by police officers on the night of Liverpool supporters being drunk and urinating on the police while they helped the dead and injured. ; ... more
